Principal's Welcome

Andrew_Woodham.jpg

Welcome to Rosny College and thank you for visiting our website.

Rosny College has built an outstanding reputation for academic and vocational excellence since our foundation in 1973.

As we now move beyond our 50th year of operation, our teaching and learning environment is still as dynamic, safe and differentiated as ever.

Rosny College is situated on the foreshore of the beautiful Kangaroo Bay and the breadth of subjects on offer is unrivalled on the eastern side of Hobart’s River Derwent.

Many of our students aspire to University entrance and apprenticeship pathways and our expert staff have a strong track record of supporting all students to achieve their dreams.

With a strong focus on wellbeing and ensuring that every student is known, well, safe and learning, our expert staff present students with a wide variety of opportunities to support all students to achieve their dreams.

Students thrive in the adult learning environment that is unique to our College and many take advantage of our extensive extra-curricular offerings.

I know that visiting our College is a very important part of the Year 10-11 transition and I encourage you to take advantage of our transition events throughout the year.

As your young person progresses in their educational journey post-Year 10, please reach out to me or any of our staff if we can be any assistance at all.

In partnership,

Andrew Woodham
Rosny College Principal

values

Acknowledgement of Country

We honour and acknowledge the moomaremener people of the Oyster Bay Nation. They are the original custodians of this land where we learn and live.
We pay respect to them, and the Elders past and present. We recognise the continuing connection of Palawa to Country and community.

We acknowledge the wrongs and injustices of the past and commit to honouring and celebrating Aboriginal histories and cultures in our learning every day.
This land is now the responsibility of us all. By continuing to care for Country and each other we uphold the timeless values of the moomaremener and the Palawa.
